Abingdon’s Summer Reading Program

This summer Abingdon students will have the opportunity to participate in the myOn reading program! Based on individual student interests and independent reading levels, each child will be able to enjoy thousands of books to ensure they maintain their reading skills while school is not in session. Research states that children who do not read over the summer fall significantly behind their classmates who do continue reading throughout the summer. Abingdon’s staff members are committed to making sure that does not happen!

At our Literacy Night on Tuesday, June 5, staff will be available between 6:00-7:30 pm to demonstrate how myOn works, and answer any questions you may have regarding this exciting opportunity. If you are unable to attend, please be on the lookout for additional information going home soon!

We look forward to watching our students continued success in reading this summer!
