Virtual Town Hall

I hope that many of you will be able to join us on Thursday at 7:30 for another Town Hall meeting.  You can access the meeting by following this link.  We will be joined by Wendy Pilch, the Director of Early Childhood and Elementary Education for the first part of our meeting; she will be there to help address any questions that you all may have that pertain to APS as a whole and our Continuous Learning Plan.  The meeting will take place on Microsoft Teams, which will allow for significantly more participants than the previous meeting on another platform. In order to directly address parent questions and questions, I am asking you to your questions through this link  by 11:00 AM on Thursday the 23rd. We will read the questions to everyone, and I and any other appropriate staff member will answer them. During the meeting, participants can submit further questions in the chat function; as time allows, we will answer the chat questions after the pre-submitted questions.  The meeting will conclude the meeting at 8:30 PM; if the chat questions are not all answered, we will answer those questions in writing and publish them on the Abingdon website.

Some best practices to keep in mind before and during the meeting…

– If you have a headset, please use it for the best audio experience.- If you are familiar with the Microsoft Teams platform, proceed as you normally would using the application you likely have already installed.

– If you are not familiar with the MS Teams app, please use the Chrome web browser and copy and paste the link below, then select “Join on the web instead” and then enter your name and click ‘Join’.

– Please toggle the switch for your microphone (in the middle) to the OFF position. This will prevent unnecessary background sound.

– In the lower center space of the meeting screen, you will see a small chat bubble icon. Click that to open the chatbox, so you may engage by typing. This is where you should ask any additional questions you have. Due to time constraints, there is no guarantee that all questions will be answered so we encourage you to submit your questions ahead of time using the form noted above.
