PIP 35-4.4 Employee Relations – EEO states, “Employees and applicants for employment with the school system shall not have employment opportunities restricted, abridged or otherwise adversely affected on the basis of race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status or disability. Additionally, active recruitment designed to achieve pools of qualified applicants that are diverse shall occur on a continuous basis.”
Procedures for Reporting
- An employee who believes that she/he has been subjected to sexual harassment or discrimination is to address those concerns with the supervisor. Employees may also proceed by following procedures specified above in the Workplace Violence – Sexual Harassment/Discrimination/Bullying section.
- An employee may also seek redress by filing a complaint with the Washington Area Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
